Loving People Where They Are

Let’s normalize not making other people wrong for not meeting us where we are.

Sometimes no matter what we do

or how much we give

or love

or care,

there will be people who don’t show up for us the way we need or want them to.

Sometimes they simply can’t, and I feel that should be okay.

I feel we shouldn’t be mad at them or judge them for it.

Whether it’s due to the things they are dealing with in their own world,

emotional blocks they are up against,

(an innocent) lack of awareness,

or energetic circumstances,

I think it’s helpful if we can find the grace to allow them to be where they are even when they can’t meet us where WE are.

I think it’s helpful if we pray for them. (Not pray for them to change. Just pray for them.)

And I think it’s helpful if we accept it without taking our love away.

Maybe just love them where THEY are.

What do you think?
