Dear Cancer,

There isn’t a day that you are not on our minds. Not one single day.

But there also isn’t a day that we don’t smile.

There isn’t a day we don’t hug, kiss, and hold each other.

There isn’t a day we don’t believe in healing.

There isn’t a day we don’t enjoy, encourage, and cheer for one another.

Not a day we don’t find reasons to be grateful.

Not a day we don’t give thanks for our blessings.

Not a day we don’t choose faith over fear.

Not a day that we ever lose hope.

Not a day that we don’t show up with love.

So, Cancer,

There isn’t a day that you aren’t with us. But every one of these days

we grow closer to each other

and one day closer

to leaving you behind.
